Amal and George Clooney Donate $ 100,000 to Associations
Amal and George Clooney announced to donate 100,000 dollars (approximately 85,000 euros) to various Lebanese charities. One way to come to the aid of the inhabitants of Beirut, three days aftera double explosion caused unprecedented damage in the Lebanese capital.
“We are both deeply worried for the inhabitants of Beirut and the situation they are undergoing in recent days,” the couple said in a statement, relayed by several American media.
“THREE CHARITIES WE FOUND ARE PROVIDING ESSENTIAL RELIEF ON THE GROUND: THE LEBANESE RED CROSS, IMPACT LEBANON AND BAYTNA BAYTAK. WE WILL DONATE $ 100,000 TO THEM, AND WE HOPE OTHERS WILL HELP THEM ALL. POSSIBLE WAYS “.
Amal Clooney, a Lebanese-British lawyer specializing in international law and humanitarian law, was born in Beirut. Earlier this year, she and her husband donated more than $ 1 million to support the fight against the coronavirus, BFMTV.com reports.
