A traditional blessing of educators was held Friday at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, it was presided over by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, and devoted to the forthcoming start of the 2020/21 academic year in Armenia, news.am reports.
The event brought together representatives of state educational institutions, rectors of universities, and teachers of a number of schools in Armenia.At the end of the blessing ceremony, the Catholicos of All Armenians offered his patriarchal blessing and message to the educators. "The reduction of the History of the Armenian Church subject [in Armenia’s schools] is special concern for us," Karekin II said, in particular.
Subsequently, a reception was also held in honor of the participants of the ceremony.
The guests also had the opportunity to tour the museums of the Mother See.
