I Presented rResults of Our Fact-Finding Work in Gegharkunik, Syunik to CoE Commissioner: Armenia Ombudsman
I had an urgent discussion with the Council of Europe [(CoE)] Commissioner for Human Rights, Dunja Mijatovic, during which I presented the gross violations of the rights of RA [(Republic of Armenia)] citizens, primarily border residents, as a result of the Azerbaijani armed forces’ illegal advance to the RA sovereign territory on May 12 and 13, 2021. Armenia’s Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan informed about this on Facebook.
"Also, I presented to the CoE Commissioner the results of the fact-finding work of the RA Human Rights Defender, on May 14 and 15, in Gegharkunik and Syunik [Provinces]. Additional details of human rights violations [by Azerbaijan] will be presented to international organizations through separate reports and programs," Tatoyan added.
