Armenia Finance Minister Met with the Delegation of EBRD

The Minister of Finance of Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan, on Thursday met with the delegation led by Dimitri Gvindadze, the outgoing Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Yerevan Resident Office.

Gvindadze introduced EBRD senior banker George Akhalkatsi, who will take over the post of new head of the EBRD Yerevan Resident Office in May, the Ministry of Finance informs.

The finance minister noted that the working discussions with the EBRD are always at a high level, and there are all the necessary preconditions to advance and effectively implement joint programs and ideas. According to the minister, protection of economic interests is a priority for Armenia at present, especially in the context of recent regional developments.

Gvindadze, in turn, thanked Khachatryan for the effective cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of Armenia.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the green economy, water infrastructure, the development of the urban environment, and the improvement of the transport network in Armenia.
