CSTO to discuss proposals on providing support to Armenia
The Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will soon discuss proposals on providing support to Armenia with joint steps, the Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing.
"The issue of holding an emergency session of the CSTO Collective Security Council soon is under discussion. I assume that during the session the leaders of member-states will discuss via video-conference the results of the CSTO mission’s work in Armenia. And the proposals on joint steps to provide help to Yerevan will also be discussed, including the draft CSTO Collective Security Council decision on the joint steps on providing help to Armenia. I think official information in this regard will be issued by the CSTO Secretariat, and we will share the information," Zakharova said.
Asked to specify on the nature of the support, Zakharova said this issue must be discussed by the CSTO leaders. Zakharova reminded that decisions in the CSTO are made collectively.
