Turkey plans to open a consulate in Shushi, a town in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) occupied by Azerbaijani forces during the 2020 war.
"We are opening a Consulate General in Shushi," RIA Novosti quoted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as telling reporters aboard a flight back from Azerbaijan.
Erdogan attended the inauguration of a new airport in the Azeri-occupied town of Kovsakan in Karabakh during his visit, Panorama.am reports.
