CSTO is Ready to Send Its Peacemakers to Donbass

Secretary General of CSTO Nikolai Bordyuzha has announced about the readiness to send peacemaking mission to Donbass, Belta reports.

 "The CSTO has a peacekeeping capacity. Our peacekeepers continuously undergo corresponding training. If such a decision is taken by the United Nations, we stand ready to provide peacekeeping units," - Nikolai Bordyuzha announced during his meeting with journalists.

He noted, that the decision will depend also on the CSTO Collective Security Council.

Bordyuzha also added, that the crisis in Ukraine should be settled, first of all, by the Ukrainian authorities and residents of Donbass, and political-military alliances like NATO and CSTO should not interfere in such conflicts.

Today the Speaker of  Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) Volodymyr Hroisman =signed a parliamentary resolution asking the UN and the European Union to send a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine's south-eastern regions, Kyivpost reports.
