Georgia and Ukraine Visa Liberalization Regime Will Not be Signed in Riga
Estonia thinks Ukraine and Georgia will not be able to achieve the liberalization of visa regime with the European Union during this year EU Eastern Partership Summit in Riga. It is a matter of visible future, said Estonian PM Taavi Rijvas, RIA Novosti reports.
"We think that Ukraine and Georgia must receive perspectives of Visa free regime in the visible future. Not in the nearest future, but in the visible one",- stressed the Prime-minister.
The Eastern Partnership programme is an initiative of Poland and Sweden, which supposes increase in the level of political cooperation with the partners- Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Belarus. It also includes wider integration of post-soviet republics in the EU economy, as well as increase of financial funds and strengthening energy security for the above-mentioned countries.
It is also worth mentioning that Ukraine and Georgia pretend to sign the Visa free regime with the EU in may 2015, during the Riga summit.
