On April 24 the Los Angeles-based Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee of the Western United States will organize a March For Justice to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. As asbarez.com reports, this will be the only commemorative event taking place on April 24. Participants will gather at 10 a.m. in Little Armenia and will march in solidarity for 6 miles to the Turkish Consulate showing a sign of protest to the Turkish government’s continued denial of the Armenian Genocide. According to the organizers, this Pan-Armenian March will unite the Armenian community in its quest for justice and demonstrate their collective strength and spirit.
The Committee has also started a social media campaign, asking people to publish a small video with the hashtag #MarchForJustice and #ArmenianGenocide, which will say that they will participate in the March For Justice.
