The Foreign Secretary of UK Philip Hammond, in a statement published on March 22 in the official website of the Government of UK, called Russia to return Crimea to Ukraine.
"The illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia one year ago was a blatant breach of international law. It showed total disregard for Ukraine’s right to sovereignty and territorial integrity, and I condemn it in the strongest terms," – the statement says.
Hammond also declared that the UK does not recognize the referendum held a year ago, calling the "annexation of Crimea illegal and illegitimate."
