On March 22, near Darling Harbor of Sydney’s Tumbalong Park the Sydney Armenian Festival 2015 was held dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. Among thousands of Armenians and foreigners the Festival was also attended by the RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Hayern Aysor reports.
In her speech Hranush Hakobyan expressed her gratitude to the government of Austria for the support of their parties in recognizing the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic by New South Wales.
Referring to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Hakobyan said: "We won the Turks. They weren’t able to eliminate us. The Turks’ state policy failed."
