On March 23, the Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the newly-appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhammad Niaz Mashalov on the occasion of handing over copies of credentials, the press office of the RA Foreign Ministry reports.
Congratulating the newly-appointed Ambassador, Nalbandian expressed hope that Ambassador Mashalov will bring his input in further strengthening of friendly Armenian-Turkmen relations.
In his turn, expressing gratitude for the good wishes, Ambassador Mashalov mentioned that Turkmenistan attaches importance to the development of multi-dimensional cooperation with Armenia and reassured that his efforts will be directed towards deepening of bilateral relations.
The two stressed, that mutual visits of Heads of the States – Serzh Sargsyan and Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov – brought new impetus to bilateral relations, and in this context discussed the process of implementation of agreements reached by the Presidents.
Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Mashalov reflected on inter-parliamentary cooperation, holding of regular consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and cooperation issues in the fields of economy, energy, transport, agriculture, culture.
