The US President Barack Obama did not meet the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who was on an official visit to Washington, Bloomberg reports. As the source reports, the official representative of the State Security Council at the White house Bernadette Meehan refused to give any explanation why Obama did not meet Stoltenberg. As the former permanent representative of the USA in NATO Kurt Volker, under President George W. Bush, mentioned, if the NATO Secretary General was in Washington, then such meeting were always conducted.

"I can't believe that the head of the United States has not found time to meet with the acting Secretary General of NATO, taking into account the seriousness of the circumstances and the obligations of his office (White house)," – Bloomberg quotes Volker's words.
