Italy's Tuscany Recognized the Armenian Genocide

Italian region of Tuscany has officially recognized the Armenian Genocide on March 25. The regional parliament adopted the respectable resolution on Wednesday and expressed support to the Armenian people.

On the occasion of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian Community Council of Rome had addressed a letter to all major regional and city halls of Italy requesting the adoption of respective resolutions regarding the Genocide, Asbarez reports.

In this regard a resolution was adopted by the Parliament of Tuscany, at Wednesday’s session, which expressed solidarity with the Armenian people.

The resolution also states that it shall be sent to the Secretariat of the Armenian Community Council of Rome, so it may be transferred to the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute in Armenia’s capital Yerevan.
