Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, the press service of Armenian Defense Ministry reports.
They discussed the recent destabilization of the situation on the border between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces.
The Defense Minister informed Ambassador Kasprzyk about ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan, stressing that in addition to making infiltration attempts and using weapons of different calibers, 60 mm and 82 mm mortars, for the first time since the ceasefire was established, Azerbaijan used 120 mm artillery.
Ohanyan said that Azerbaijan’s military and political leadership is fully responsible for the consequences of escalation of the situation in the face of such tactics by Azerbaijani armed forces.
Ambassador Kasprzyk said that he will make every effort within his power to stabilize the situation.
