Criminal cases have been opened against two citizens of Azerbaijan, who are accused of spying for Armenia, haqqin.az reports referring to Azerbaijan's National Security Minister Eldar Mahmudov.
According to Mahmudov, the Azerbaijani citizens, motivated by material gains, have gathered various intelligence information to give it to Armenian special services. "They tried to disguise their espionage activities in their professional activities," - Mahmudov said.
The arrested citizens are members of non-governmental organizations.
