Cyprus Parliament Adopted a Bill Criminalizing Denial of the Armenian Genocide

The Parliament of Cyprus has unanimously passed a bill criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide, Armenpress reports. The voting took place on April 2. Those denying the Genocide in Cyprus will be sentenced to five years of imprisonment and will pay a fine of 10,000 euros.

Cyprus is the 4th country in Europe after Greece, Slovakia and Switzerland that criminalizes denial of the Armenian Genocide.
