According to the presidential decree, Armen Martirosyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India replacing Ara Hakobyan. Besides the Ambassador of the Republic of India, he was also appointed the Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Nepal and Malaysia (residence - New Delhi).
Before being appointed as an Ambassador, Armen Martirosyan has been the Deputy Foreign Minister, Armenia's permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador of Armenia to Germany.
