Diplomatic Bluebook: Japan Remains a Pacifist Nation
According to the Japan's 2015 Diplomatic Bluebook, the country will continue to be a pacifist nation, as it has been since World War II, while contributing to world peace, stability and prosperity. The annual report was presented to the cabinet on Tuesday.
The Bluebook emphasizes that Japan’s no-war pledge is based on deep remorse for the last war lies at the foundation for being a pacifist nation
It says that Japan will remain a pacifist nation, and will make even more proactive contributions to peace under the principle of "proactive pacifism." It adds, Japan will continue efforts to achieve reconciliation with other Asian countries and build new relationships with them.
As the report states, Japan will maintain a policy of using dialogue and pressure toward the nation. Moreover, Japan will continue to cooperate with relevant countries to seek a comprehensive solution to all current issues, including the North Korea's nuclear and missile programs.
