After last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formed his third consecutive and fourth total government coalition, consisting almost entirely of right-wing and religious parties, he confirmed his stance on one of the core issues in the Middle East peace process on Jerusalem Day, Sputnik News reports.
"Jerusalem will not become another city wounded and dismembered. We will keep forever a united Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty," noted Netanyahu.
Jerusalem Day is a national holiday in Israel, the day Israel recaptured East Jerusalem from the neighboring Arab nation of Jordan 48 years ago, declaring it Israel's united and undivided capital.
