The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group are now working on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was declared by the OSCE MG Co-Chairs in a meeting with reporters on June 14 in Baku, Trend reports.

"We are working on the agenda of the meeting. We are also going to visit the region during this or the next month to discuss the details," – Popov said.
The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick, Pierre Andrieu, Igor Popov and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk arrived in Baku to participate in the opening ceremony of the European Games.

On June 14 they held a meeting with IDPs in Absheron community. The US Co-Chair James Warlick in his turn told the reporters that he hopes those people will soon be able to return to their homes. "We as mediators are doing everything to make it happen soon, but much depends on the leaders of the two countries and the political will of the parties," the diplomat said. He added that the OSCE MG believes in a final peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

It should be noted that at the beginning of last week Warlick arrived in Armenia, where he met with the RA President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. Warlick also met with the Armenian athletes who take part in the European Games in Baku. The meeting was also attended by Andrzej Kasprzyk. The Co-Chairs and not only them, have expressed hope that the participation of Armenian athletes in the European Games in Baku will positively affect the Karabakh conflict settlement process.

The assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on socio-political affairs Ali Hasanov at a press conference dedicated to the first European Games, expressed hope that the first European Games will play a positive role in rapprochement of the peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

It should also be noted that Baku uses the European Games for disseminating its position on the Karabakh issue. "Of course, using the opportunities given during the European Games, we should make the guests understand the main problem of Azerbaijan - the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” Chairman of the Council on State Support to NGOs under the auspices of President Azay Guliyev said.

Of course, this statement was not unexpected for us, because Azerbaijan uses this question in different international arenas in its own way and for gaining some benefits and not to use of the European Games, especially since it is the host country, would not be logical for Baku.
