On June 18, the Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat released a report on the details of the current state of Israeli-Palestinian relations. As The Jerusalem Post reports, the report is 56 pages, titled: "Determining Palestinian-Israeli relations: Changing, not merely improving, the situation" and besides the details of the relations, gives a set of recommendations for the Palestinian leadership, including the possibility of retracting official recognition of Israel.
Erekat suggests that Ramallah should not adhere to pressure from the international community to acknowledge the Jewish state, which, according to him, could undermine the well-being of the Palestinian population.
Referring to Hamas, the report says that such groups as Hamas and Islamic Jihad should be welcomed under the PLO umbrella.
