Greek PM Alexis Tsipras asked for an urgent Eurogroup teleconference. It will be held at 7pm Tuesday, July 1, to examine a last minute Greek request for a two-year new bailout and partial restructuration of its debt, Euobserver reports.
Following the request, the Eurozone finance ministers will discuss further extention of the current bailout programme, which ends June 30 at midnight.
Tsipras requested the meeting to Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the Eurogroup president and Klaus Regling, chairman of the board of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), the eurozone emergency fund.
