Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia and Nepal join the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) as partners of the organization, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia and Nepal are joining the family of the SCO as partners," he said, opening the enlarged meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO member states, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Putin, there are other countries that wish to participate in the activities of SCO. "Yet a number of countries have expressed interest in joining in one or another form to our organization. We will carefully with the corresponding requirements consider their applications," the Russian President said.
