Alyev’s dissatisfaction from the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs gradually turned into direct accusations. The President of Azerbaijan, becoming angry on the Co-Chairs’ joint statement the day before PACE session and the discussion of the two anti-Armenian draft resolutions, blamed them for double standards and islamofobia.
Azerbaijani side has many times blamed the MG Co-Chars for working ineffectively, but this kind of accusation was heard for the first time. The Minsk Group Co-Chairs, who always resort to artificial balancing, avoide direct and addressed criticism towards Azerbaijan’s war rhetoric, made a statement that "mixed the cards" of Azerbaijan.
Anyway, the position of the Co-Chairs in this situation was predictable. They aim was not to allow to transfern the issue into other platforms, to increase the pressure on each other and fail the negotiations. Any conflict can be solved only if there is one agreed platform for the negotiations. Diversification makes the process more difficult, turning the work of the mediators impossible.

Finally, Azerbaijani blackmailing policy is gradually increasing and soon a moment will come, when no matter that the Armenian sides of the conflict want negotiated political settlement and are constructive in the negotiations, they will have to answer Azerbaijan on the same language.
