In her address to reporters after a meeting with FM Edward Nalbandian, Sweden’s foreign minister Margot Wallström expressed her country’s support to the peaceful negotiations around Karabakh, ruling out any military solution to Karabakh conflict.
According to Wallström her visit to Armenia is a good opportunity to get more closely familiarized with the country’s perceptions of the long-lasting land dispute.
She emphasized the need of investing maximum efforts in ruling out an escalation, expressing hope that a final peace will be achieved under the umbrella of the OSCE Minsk Group, the international mission tasked to mediate peace between the conflicting parties.
