The House of Representatives of the US state of Georgia adopted resolution 1580, with which recognizes the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. As Armenpress reports, this was declared by a committee of "Hay Dat" State of Georgia. The authors of the resolution are Democrats Pett Gardner and Demetrius Douglas.
Georgia became the fifth US state to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Before that similar resolutions were adopted by Louisiana, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine.
