Russian FM: Turkey Is to Be Blamed for the Current Crisis

The Turkish leadership is responsible for the current crisis in relations with Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu claimed in a recent interview with Turkish television that there were some "positive changes" in Moscow's stance on the crisis.

"We believe that these claims are unfounded…We would like to emphasize again that the Turkish leadership is alone responsible for the current crisis," the ministry said in a statement, Sputnik News reports.

It is also noted that "at this point the normalization of bilateral relations is not on the discussion agenda".
