Erdogan Concerned over Recognition of Armenian Genocide by Germany

On Tuesday Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan voiced his concern over the upcoming Bundestag's vote on the recognition of Armenian Genocide in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Sputnik News reports.

Erdogan expressed hope that "the Bundestag would demonstrate common sense regarding the resolution", according to a source in the Turkish presidential administration, as quoted by the NTV channel.

Erdogan and Merkel also agreed to continue the negotiations on introducing visa free regime for Turkey.
