Rhode Island Senate Approves a Bill to Mandate study of Genocide In Schools

16:17     9 June, 2016

The bill, approved by the US State  Rhode Island Senate,  mandates in middle school or high school the teaching of the Armenian Genocide and Holocaust  and the ones in Israel,  Cambodia, Iraq, Rwanda and Darfur, Providence Journal reports.

Seven states — California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania — have similar legislation. A current law in Rhode Island only encourages the awareness education.
