President of France François Hollande announced that France is to set up a National Guard to boost security in response to the recent spate of terror attacks, Politico informs.
According to Hollande the unit, created from existing police and military reserve forces, would be formed "as soon as possible."
In its turn the Elysee said in a statement that the parliament would hold consultations on the security force in September.
