With his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev Russian President Vladimir Putin declared Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran will be able to implement new projects in the Caspian Sea, including in the energy and transport sectors, TASS reports.
Referring to trilateral talks with the participation of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Baku, Putin particularly noted.
"We really have a lot to discuss in this (trilateral) format," Putin told Aliyev thanking him for organizing the summit. "There can be new projects in the Caspian Sea and in the broader context. I mean transport, the energy sector and diversification of our trilateral trade and economic ties," Putin said.
