The meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in Russia. The Armenian leader arrived in Russia on a working visit at the invitation of Vladimir Putin, the press service of the Russian President states.
"For us Armenia is a strategic partner in the Caucasus, and we consistently build alliances, with all the most sensitive lines also on the international arena. Primarily I mean the CIS - here we together cooperate in the CSTO, and now in the Eurasian Union," the Russian President said.
"I am very pleased to note, and I want you to congratulate, I looked at the data for the last year - after the accession of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Community your GDP has grown by 10%. This is certainly a very positive indicator. I hope that this dynamics will positively continue," Putin said.
