Russia and the Syrian regime will halt their bombardment of Aleppo for eight hours on Thursday to allow rebels and civilians to evacuate the besieged northern city, Russia’s Defense Ministry said, Financial Times writes.
But Lieutenant-General Sergei Rudskoy, a senior Russian defence ministry official, rejected a complete ceasefire, saying that it would give jihadi groups time to "regroup and restore their military capability".
