About 80 percent of persons with dual citizenship are in Armenia.
Deputy Chief of Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan on Tuesday noted the above-said at the National Assembly, as he introduced the bill on amendments to the Law on Citizenship, NEWS.am reports.
He added that most Armenian citizens get a second citizenship in Russia.
In Yeghiazaryan's words, at present, close to 95 thousand dual citizens are registered at Police of Armenia.
The deputy police chief informed that, pursuant to a proposed amendment to the aforesaid law, the Armenian citizens who also get citizenship of another country will no longer have to inform about this to Police of Armenia.
