Mass Exodus: Over 400,000 People Forced to Flee Afghanistan in 2016
The number of Afghan refugees in the European Union cedes only to the number of refugees from Syria, as the country is suffering from confrontation between government forces and continuing Taliban insurgency, Sputniknews.com reports.
The instability in the country is supported by regular terror attacks and killings of civilians.
"Important news: More than 411,000 people have been internally displaced by conflict, forced to flee homes, in #Afghanistan so far this year," OCHA said via Twitter.
