Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR is ready to consider obtaining shares of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), if the share for sale is officially announced, AZERNEWS reports citing to a source in SOCAR.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili earlier at a meeting of the parliament noted that the Georgian parliament is ready to sell 25 percent per each the assets of the state-owned companies: Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and Georgian Railways.
GOGC is the operator of the North-South gas pipeline, via which Russian gas is delivered to Georgia and Armenia.
