Pope Francis noted that unlike its predecessors he does not intend to transfer to an armored car during foreign travel, Reuters informs.
The priest explained that, despite the risks and his danger, he wants to be closer to people.
"Maybe it was crazy, but I should note that I absolutely don't care about me. But I always worry about the safety of those who travel with me and the people I meet in different countries. But the Lord is always with us," said the Pope.
In 2017, the Pope planns to travel to Portugal, India and Bangladesh.
