Akunq.net news agency has published the Ottoman Interior Minister Talaat Pasha's circular, which evidently shows some details on the circumstances of the Islamization of Armenians.
As it is known, during the Armenian Genocide, Islamized Armenians were given the opportunity to avoid deportation for a short time, particularly until July 1, 1915.
But from July 1 to November 4 of the same year the exception of deportation of Islamized Armenians was prohibited.
This document contains the copy of the telegram sent by the Ottoman minister Talaat on November 4, 1915 to all the governors of the country.
The document reveales that Religious Conversion didn’t refer to all Armenians, it was regulated by certain principles.
This important document was discovered, translated by U.S.-based Istanbul-Armenian researcher Gevorg Hakobyan.
