On June 9 the Spanish city of Valencia adopted a resolution on recognizing the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian Embassy of Spain reports.
The Compromís, València en Comú and Socialista parties voted in favor of the resolution on recognizing the Armenian Genocide, submitted by the Ararat Armenian Union.
Valencia’s government condemned the first genocide of the 20th century and urged the Parliament of Valencia, the Government of Spain, as well as Turkey to follow their example.
