The Soviet-made carpets in the churches in Artsakh Republic and in Syunik region, Republic of Armenia, are planned to be changed by the national ones, Pan Armenian reports.
The author and financier of the initiative is a philanthropist, who prefers his name to remain unknown yet.
According to the source, currently in "Megerian Carpet" OJSC, 5 carpets are being knitted of which 3 are for Gandzasar church, two for Artsakh President's residence.
Drawings are being made also for Ghazanchetsots, Amaras and Dadivank churches. All of the carpets are unique in their design. The decorations are creative and are even different from the traditional carpets by their form.
