A suspected hit-and-run driver plowed into a crowd of diners on a Los Angeles sidewalk, injuring at least eight people Sunday afternoon, Daily News reports.
According Los Angeles Police Department, the man behind the wheel ran a red light and smashed into another car at an intersection outside.
As a result the tan Ford van careening through a white picket fence and tables packed with patrons at the seafood joint’s patio.
The van came to a stop on the opposite end of the patio, leaving behind a path of mangled chairs and tables — and several victims pinned underneath, according to one witness.
