Hurricane ''Irma'' caused waters of the Atlantic Ocean to disappear.
As Chronicle Live reports, Beachgoers feared a tsunami might be about to come after the ocean 'disappeared' as Hurricane ''Irma'' cut a destructive swathe through the Caribbean.
However, experts said it was the extraordinary force of the storm that had sucked water away from shores in the Bahamas in a rare weather phenomenon.
Footage posted on social media shows people walking along the seabed which is normally under several feet of water.
