A former chief of the Armenian National Security Service, advisor to the Armenian President, Colonel-General Gorik Hakobyan, died on Saturday aged 71, Panorama.am.
Upon the President’s decree signed on November 8, 2004, Gorik Hakobyan was appointed Director of Armenia’s National Security Service, heading the agency until 2016.
Acceding to President Sargsyan’s 12 February 2016 decree, Colonel-General Gorik Hakobyan was appointed as advisor to the President.
