Turkey intends to build its own space station to ensure the safety of the country, the Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim said during the opening ceremony of a plant for the production of parts and spare parts for helicopters in the province of Erzurum, TASS reports, referring to Anadolu Agency.
"The decision to build the space station is taken in order to ensure the development and security in the Republic with the help of space and aviation technologies, and identification and use of natural resources'', Yildirim said.
According to him, the corresponding bill is already submitted for consideration to the Parliament.
