The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem informed that even though the situation in the city is calm at present, there is tension because Muslims will come to Jerusalem today for their Friday prayer, and therefore police forces have been assembled in the city to prevent clashes, News.am reports.
''That district of the city is geographically very far away from the Armenian district,'' informed the patriarchate. ''So, the Armenian community is in no danger.''
It added, however, that Arab shopkeepers are on strike for the second day.
