Germany wants to see lawmakers in Catalonia’s regional assembly agree to form a government, since only then progress can be made on reaching a political solution to the region’s stand-off with, a foreign ministry spokesman said, Reuters reports.
He said that the government had no role to play in the "judicial matter" of the possible extradition of former Catalan President Carles Puigdemont.
