Two planes collided in midair in Germany on Sunday evening, with officials confirming two died in the horror crash. Witnesses reported one of the aircraft erupted into a fireball on the runway, Express reports.
The crash took place near Schwabisch Hall Airport, also known as Adolf Wurth airport, aviation monitors AirLive reported.
The collision involved ''two small private aircraft'', a hobby aircraft and a microlight plane, and left both pilots dead.
The death toll could rise, investigators warned.
Local media speculated one of the pilots was ''blinded by the low sun'' as they approached the airport to land.
