US President Donald trump became angry when he learned that France and Germany had expelled four Russian diplomats, while the US - 60, writes The Washington Post.
According to the publication, the assistants of the American leader on March 24 presented him a plan of action, according to which the United States had to send "almost as many Russian diplomats as European allies."
The newspaper explains that they meant the total number of diplomats, but Trump decided that it was about each individual EU country and became furious.
According to high-ranking officials, the President said "he does not care about the total number", as it turns out that his administration takes the toughest position against Russia.
