The municipal authorities of the Akhalkalaki, Georgia (Samtskhe-Javakheti region) have made a decision to name a street and park after Charles Aznavour.
The idea to honor the great French-Armenian crooner was proposed by residents of the Armenian-populated Georgian town, Jnews.ge reports.
Aznavour’s father, Mammikon Aznavourian, was an Akhaltskhe-born Armenian.
